1) Is there a deadline to receive the First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit?
Yes, you must close on your home (meaning your purchase must be finalized) by November 30th, 2009.

2) Do I still have time to take advantage of the First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit?
Maybe...but you'll have to act VERY quickly. It typically, takes 45 days to close on a home. However, this can sometimes be completed within 30 days. I would urge you to speak with a loan officer immediately to discuss the possibility of closing within 30 days and obtain your pre-approval. 3) I heard the First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit is going to be extended. Is this true?
As of right now, no. Lawmakers are seeking to extend the First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit...but as of this date, an extension has not been approved.
